How accurate are your weather stations?
Our weather stations are incredibly accurate. Monitor wind speed in 0-50m/s (0-100mph) with ±1m/s accuracy for wind speeds under 5m/s and ±10% accuracy for higher wind speeds. Track sunlight intensity up to 400k Lux, with an accuracy of ±15%. View pressure in hPa, mmHg, or inHg to predict weather changes before they happen. Though different models have different thresholds, be sure to check out the description of the weather station to see their accuracy ranges and calibration options.
How far can the outdoor sensors be from the display unit?
A typical range for the outdoor sensors is; 80-150 metres with a clear line of sight and no structural obstruction, but this drops to 20-60 metres when there are walls and other structures in the way. Brick, concrete and steel reduces the distance massively.
Can I connect my weather station to an app or computer?
You can connect most of our weather stations to an app or computer. La crosse technology has their own support app. While our other brands such as TESA and Ecowitt have their own compatible platforms.
Installation and Setup
How hard is it to set up a weather station?
Our weather stations are designed for easy set up with professional results. We even include content for helping you set-up your very own professional weather station. The average set up time for our weather stations are about 15-20 minutes.
Where should I place my weather station for the most accurate readings?
There isn’t a one place fits all when it comes to weather stations however, here are few tips to help you get the most accurate readings
- Keep your temperature sensor out of direct sunlight as this can give it a higher reading than it should give.
- Make sure your rain gauge is level and clear of obstructions, this can affect accurate readings
- Ensure your wind sensor is mounted high and clear, plant growth nearby and deter from the correct wind speed.
Do I need professional installation?
Absolutely not, all of our weather stations can be installed by anyone. However, if you do plan on mounting poles or installing anything on your roof than extra care will be needed including professional installation.

How long does delivery take?
It normally takes between 2-6 business days.
What if my weather station stops working?
Not only do we have loads of guides that can help, we also have a support team that is available to help you.
Can I add extra sensors later?
Only a select few weather stations can add more sensors to the weather station. Our weather stations that have multiple built-in sensors can not have more sensors added. Please contact us using the link here to ensure that you get the weather station you need.
Do you offer technical support if I get stuck?
